The EP - World Adventures- was recently released and it’s already causing issues for Sims3 players... including the new patch causing issues for a lot of players.
Here are some of the reported issues so far:
-The patch has screwed up peoples TS3 game. -Some can't save their games. -The problem is either the Patch or the EP for some... some could be caused by both combined. -Some of the issues are caused by people not removing ALL of their CC, Hacks and Mods before installing the Patch and/or EP. -AwesomeMod is NOT compatible with the new patch. -The traits are missing for some. -Those that want to install WA have to patch before installing. -Some can't get the WA code to work. -Also reported that any ‘ini’ files that have been change in the game (camera mod) has to be replaced with the original before the patch and/or EP is installed. -Also remove any added music files. -It’s also been reported that the Patch has been pulled from the Sims3 site.
--The patch has some components that work with the new EP – WA, so that could be part of the reason why some of the players are having issues.
Official quote from the Sims3 forum:
We have been made aware of an issue you may encounter while trying to save your game after installing The Sims 3 World Adventures or updating your game. The Sims 3 World Adventures and the Game Update have changed the way your save files are created, which can lead to an error during your gameplay when you save your game. If you encounter an error that says “Error Code 16,” please use “Save As” to save your game instead. This will allow you to create a new save file and circumvent this error.
If you are beginning an entirely new game or starting in a new neighborhood, you will NOT encounter this issue.
We are working to address this and will update you as soon as possible.
Thanks,
-Big Guy-
* Our advice is to wait until EA has fixed the patch. We would also advise those that already have WA, to not install it until the issues are sorted out.
Update:
A link to get more info on a fix for the "Error Code 16" issue, via the Sims3 site. Obviously, EA still needs to address a lot of other issues regarding TS3's gameplay and glitches/bugs since the release of WA.
We’ll updated this when we know more.
